My author newsletter: A very quick update

Today’s blog will be short and sweet, like the welcome email for my brand-new newsletter! Subscribers currently get absolutely nothing for signing up … but that’s going to change.

I avoided building an author platform for a long, long time. A combination of imposter syndrome and a lack of time conspired to keep me from self-promoting for years. But now, just as I’ve reached the cusp of finishing The Fortune-Teller’s Son to a query-ready standard, the procrastination monkey that lives in my head has decided to pull the trigger.

Not only the website trigger. The Instagram trigger. Threads trigger. Course-building trigger. Redecorate the office trigger … it’s intense. Also, typical.

But I didn’t come here to moan. Well, not only to moan. I came here to tell you that I’ve setup the subscription forms for my upcoming fantasy author newsletter. The idea will be to share updates, free pieces of fiction, giveaways, etc. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to give it my all at the moment. However, that simply means if you sign up now, you can guarantee I won’t spam you.

What am I thinking of sending in my author newsletter in the future? I’m glad you asked.

  • A free, never-before-seen prologue to The Fortune-Teller’s Son

  • Behind-the-scenes looks into my writing process

  • Writing advice — specifically advice that draws from my marketing experience. More on that later.

If you’re interested in all that and want to support my progress, subscribe to my newsletter or follow my socials and give me a share now and then. Otherwise, check back in here for more blogs in the near-future.
